Have you ever wondered about the name Under The Pink Moon Books? Would you like to know how my site’s name came to fruition?
After spending several weeks, composing lists of possible domain names, I became completely dissatisfied with my prospects. Similarly, I abandoned my activities altogether and altered my focal point as well.
Stepping back a bit enabled me to accomplish my objective by providing time to regroup. Instead of crossing unsatisfactory names off my composition pad, I reflected on the gentle method books brought light into my life. I became inspired to think about additional natural sources of light. Then, I thought of the moon and the subsequent yearly transformations. Upon reading about the monthly phases of the moon, I learned about the “pink moon.” Coincidentally pink just happens to be one of my favorite colors.
“Pink Moon” is a name for the full moon around the time of April, when the moss pink or wild ground phlox is in blossom.
Thanks to the early springtime association this full moon came to be known as the “Pink” Moon. Spiritually the “Pink Moon” symbolizes rebirth and renewal. This budding seasonal moon represents a significant shift in nature. I appreciated the alignment of the “Pink Moon” coinciding with my transference of thoughts through words. Resultingly, Under The Pink Moon Books came to be the name for my blog.
